Do unused hours roll over on a monthly Webflow plan?

See when unused hours on a monthly Webflow plan expire, and how to use included time before the period ends.

THE SHORT ANSWER

No. Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over to the next month. The plan is $999 per month and includes 10 hours. Additional work is $75 per hour and starts only after you approve a written estimate. You cannot pause the plan to save unused hours. Hours left in the current paid period stay available until that period ends.

Unused hours end with the billing period

Unused hours do not roll into the next month. They expire at the end of each monthly billing period. That period is the month you already paid for. When it ends, included time you did not use is gone. It does not become a balance you can spend later.

The allowance is 10 hours, on one plan for every existing Webflow site: $999 per month. Ten hours is the capacity for that period. It is not a bank you fill and draw from in some later month.

Example: you use 4 hours on a service page and a form fix. Six hours are still unused when the billing period ends. Those six hours expire. The next period starts again at 10 hours, not at 16.

Hours you already paid for still work until then

Time that is still inside the current paid period is available. Send the request in writing and it can be done before the period ends. Canceling does not wipe out time you already paid for. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future billing. The membership stays active through the current paid period, and any remaining included hours stay available until that period ends.

That is not rollover. Leftover hours do not move onto a later invoice. They only remain usable while the period you already paid for is still open.

Additional work is $75 per hour. Before work exceeds the included hours, I share a written estimate and ask for your written approval. Additional work starts only after you approve it. Approving extra time does not bring back hours from a previous period. Those hours have already expired.

A quiet month does not enlarge the next one

A month with few requests does not store time. The next month is still 10 hours. The pickup windows do not grow because last month was quiet. Urgent requests are reviewed and picked up within 24 hours. Other requests are reviewed and picked up within 48 hours. Those are pickup times, not a promise that the work will be finished inside that window.

Send the work the site actually needs. If the month is quiet, the unused time expires. Do not add filler tasks only to empty the allowance, and do not expect a later month to be larger because this one was small.

Example: in one period you only change a sentence, and most of the 10 hours sit unused. In the next period you want a new page that follows the current design. That next period still includes 10 hours. The earlier leftover time is not added on top.

You cannot pause the plan to keep the hours

Memberships cannot be paused. A pause is not a way to freeze unused hours until a campaign, a new hire, or a busier season. You can cancel, and you can ask to rejoin later, subject to availability. Rejoining starts a new paid period. It does not restore hours from a period that already ended.

Your Webflow subscription, hosting, and domain stay in your own accounts. The monthly plan does not include a new website or a full redesign. Those are separate projects with their own scope and quote. Leaving the membership does not move unused hours into that project quote.

Plan the period around work you actually need

List the outcomes you expect during this billing period: the pages, the CMS items, and what done looks like. Put real requests in writing early enough that the included hours can be used before the period ends. A note such as 'Replace the first paragraph on the services page with this approved text, and check the layout on a phone' can be picked up inside the current period. A note that says to save the hours for whenever cannot, because there is nowhere for those hours to wait.

If a request will pass 10 hours, wait for the written estimate before you treat the extra time as approved. If the month looks empty, let the unused hours expire.

The Webflow retainer on the homepage is the monthly plan these hours belong to. The guide to what those hours cover lists the kind of work that fits the allowance. Use this page when the question is what happens to time you do not spend.

Questions & answers

Can unused hours become a discount on a later month?

No. Unused hours expire at the end of the billing period. They are not a credit, a discount, or extra time on the next invoice.

If I cancel this week, do the remaining hours vanish today?

No. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future billing. The membership stays active through the current paid period, and remaining included hours stay available until that period ends.

Can I pause for a quiet season and keep the hours?

No. Memberships cannot be paused. You can cancel and ask to rejoin later, subject to availability. Rejoining does not restore hours from a period that already ended.

Does a quiet month make the next urgent request faster?

No. Pickup times stay the same. Urgent requests are reviewed and picked up within 24 hours, and other requests within 48 hours. Those windows are not finish times, and they do not grow because last month was quiet.
