How do I prioritize requests on a monthly Webflow plan?

Rank this month's Webflow requests against the 10 included hours, and decide what waits or needs a written estimate.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Rank this period's requests and stop when they fill the 10 included hours. Put live problems and approved copy ahead of layout ideas that can wait. The plan is $999 per month. Extra hours are $75 and start only after you approve a written estimate. Unused hours expire at the end of the period and do not carry over. A new website or a full redesign is a separate project.

Rank the live problem first

A monthly plan has a fixed amount of time. On this plan that amount is 10 hours, included in $999 per month. Those hours are for an existing Webflow site during the current billing period. They are not a promise that every idea on your list will ship.

Start the list with anything that blocks a visitor today. A form that does not send, a price that is already wrong on the live page, or a button that goes to a dead URL should sit above a new section you would like later. Write the page URL and what done looks like.

Example: the contact form on /contact stopped delivering messages on Tuesday, and you also want a new logo row on the homepage. The form is first. The logo row waits until the form is done and you can see the hours that are left.

Keep the rest in one order

After the blocked work, list the changes you have already decided. Approved copy, a CMS item that is ready to publish, and a small section that uses the current design are all normal monthly work. Put them in the order you would regret missing, not in the order people mentioned them.

Give each line one outcome. 'Replace the first paragraph on /services with the attached text and check it on a phone' can sit in a queue. 'Refresh the brand' cannot, because nobody can tell when it is finished or how many of the 10 hours it would take.

Leave a little of the month unassigned. A site that is already live will produce a small fix you did not plan. If you schedule all 10 hours on the first day, that fix has nowhere to go except extra time.

Stop at the included hours

Ten hours is the included capacity, not a page count. A text swap and a new CMS template do not cost the same hour. If the ordered list is clearly larger than the month, cut it before work starts, or ask for an estimate of the extra time.

Additional work is $75 per hour. Before work exceeds the included hours, I share a written estimate and wait for your written approval. Additional work starts only after you approve it. Saying no leaves that extra work unstarted. The included hours that are still left stay available for the requests you kept.

Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Do not park a low item on the list because you hope to spend it next month. If it matters this period, put it in the order. If it can wait, leave it off until a later period.

Leave redesigns off this list

A new website or a full redesign is a separate project, with its own scope and quote. It does not belong in the monthly order as a late item. A new page that follows the current design can. A replacement of the layout, the type, and the structure cannot.

Communication is asynchronous and written only. There are no calls or meetings to sort the list. Send the order in writing, with the first item at the top. Urgent requests are reviewed and picked up within 24 hours. Other requests are reviewed and picked up within 48 hours. Those are pickup times, not a promise that the work will be finished inside that window.

The Webflow retainer is the plan this order is for. The retainer guide explains which ongoing work fits the month. Use this page when several requests are competing for the same 10 hours.

Questions & answers

Should I mark every item urgent so the list starts sooner?

No. Urgent means the request is reviewed and picked up within 24 hours. Other requests are picked up within 48 hours. Those are pickup times, not a faster way to finish a long list.

Can I save three unused hours for a launch next month?

No. Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. If the launch matters in this period, put it in the order now.

What if two people disagree about which item is first?

Send one written order. The first line is the work that should start. A second list in another thread does not create a second set of hours.

Does a text change always fit inside the remaining hours?

No. Ten hours is capacity, not a menu of tasks with fixed sizes. If the next request would pass the hours that are left, the extra time waits for a written estimate and your approval.
