Webflow support

Is a Webflow maintenance plan the same as monthly support?

See how a fixed Webflow maintenance checklist differs from monthly hours you spend on the requests you send.

THE SHORT ANSWER

No. A maintenance plan is a repeating checklist of checks. Monthly support is reserved hours for the requests you send, and those hours can include the checks plus copy, CMS updates, and fixes. Webflower sells one plan: $999 per month with 10 hours. Extra hours are $75 and start only after you approve a written estimate. Unused hours do not roll over, and the plan cannot be paused.

A checklist and a block of hours are different purchases

Site owners use maintenance plan for a repeating set of checks: forms, key pages, the mobile layout, and content that has gone stale. Monthly support is time reserved for the requests you send during the billing period. Those requests can include the checks. They can also include a paragraph change, a CMS post, or a fix on a page that already exists.

The names get mixed because both are monthly. The thing you are buying is not the same. A checklist has a defined list. Hours have a capacity limit, and you choose which outcomes to spend them on.

If you want the review list itself, use the monthly maintenance checklist. This page is only about which agreement matches the work.

What belongs on a maintenance checklist

A useful checklist follows the journeys that matter on your site. Open the main navigation, send a labeled test through each important form, and read the service details a customer would trust. Record a failure with the URL, what you expected, and what happened.

That list does not, by itself, replace the copy, publish the CMS item, or rebuild a section. It tells you what to look at. Someone still has to do the change, and that change takes time.

Example: the checklist finds that the pricing page still shows last year's fee. The check is done when you have written that down. The support request starts when you paste the approved sentence and ask for that text only.

What reserved hours can cover in the same month

Hours on an existing site go to the outcomes you write down. On this kind of plan, that work is maintenance, content updates, bug fixes, improvements, and new pages that stay inside the current design. A checklist finding can become one of those requests. A new page that follows the layout you already have can be another, once the time is clear.

Ten hours is not a fixed number of pages. A sentence and a new section do not take the same time. Ask whether unused time expires at the end of the billing period. Do not assume a quiet month is saved for later.

A new website or a full redesign is still a separate project. Putting the word maintenance on the invoice does not turn a rebuild into a checklist.

How to tell which offer you were sent

Read the first paragraph of the proposal and sort it.

  • The deliverable is a named list of checks, with no reserved time for the edits those checks uncover. That is a maintenance plan.
  • The deliverable is a number of hours for requests you send, and the checks are one way to use those hours. That is monthly support.
  • The deliverable is a new site or a new design. That is a project, even if the email calls it maintenance.

Ask who keeps the Webflow account, whether extra time needs written approval, and whether you can pause the month. A pause is not a feature you should assume. Written pickup times are not the same thing as a promise that the work will be finished inside that window.

What I include under one monthly plan

I do not sell a separate maintenance package. The Webflow retainer is one plan for every existing Webflow site: $999 per month, including 10 hours of Webflow work. Maintenance is one use of those hours, along with content updates, fixes, and new pages inside the current design. Additional work is $75 per hour. Before work exceeds the included hours, I share a written estimate and ask for your written approval. Additional work starts only after you approve it.

Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Memberships cannot be paused. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future billing. Service continues through the paid period, and remaining included hours stay available until that period ends. You can ask to rejoin later, subject to availability. Communication is asynchronous and written only. There are no calls or meetings. Urgent requests are reviewed and picked up within 24 hours. Other requests are reviewed and picked up within 48 hours. Those are pickup times, not completion deadlines. Your Webflow subscription and hosting stay in your own account.

The retainer guide lists the work those hours cover. Use the checklist when you are deciding what to review. Use this page when you are deciding which kind of agreement to buy.

Questions & answers

Where is the list of checks itself?

The monthly maintenance checklist is the review list: journeys, forms, content, and recent changes. This page is about which kind of agreement you are buying.

Can the same month include a checklist and a copy change?

Yes, when you are buying hours. A checklist finding becomes a request, and that request spends some of the included time. A checklist alone does not publish the change.

Does calling the invoice maintenance include a redesign?

No. A new website or a full redesign is a separate project with its own scope and quote. The label on the invoice does not move that work into the month.

Can I pause a quiet month and keep the hours?

No. Memberships cannot be paused. Unused hours expire at the end of the billing period and do not carry over. Cancel before the next renewal if you want to stop future billing.
