How do I export Webflow form submissions?

Download one Webflow form's submissions as a CSV from Site settings, and save any uploaded files before you delete a row.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Open Site settings, Forms, open the form, and click View submissions. On the Submissions tab, click Export all. The CSV holds that form's submission data. Uploaded files appear as URLs, so download those files before you delete any row. Name each form in the Designer first. Unnamed forms stay on Email Form, and those submissions share one table. Webflow can export only the submissions it stored.

Name the form before you export

Webflow keeps submissions in Site settings, Forms, when the form sends its data to Webflow. Each named form has its own table, with a count and the submitted fields. A new form is named Email Form until you change it. If several forms keep that name, their rows land in one table, and one export mixes them.

Select the form on the canvas or in the Navigator. Give it a name you will still recognize next month, such as Contact page. Publish the site. Submit one test with a value you can search for, such as Export test.

Download the CSV

Open Site settings, then Forms. Find Contact page and click View submissions. On the Submissions tab, click Export all.

The download is a CSV of the submission data for that form. Open the file and find Export test. If the row is there, the file matches the dashboard. If the row is missing, Webflow did not store the submit, so Export all has nothing new to include. Fix the form's send path before you export again.

Submitted files show up in the dashboard as clickable URLs. The CSV includes those URLs. It does not include the files themselves.

Save file uploads before you delete rows

Download any upload you need to keep. Webflow's article says you can right-click the file URL and choose Save. You can also send file submissions to cloud storage with a third-party tool such as Zapier. Either way, the copy you rely on should live outside the dashboard.

You can delete one row or many. In View submissions, select the checkboxes and click the delete icon. Deleting a submission also deletes its uploaded files, and those URLs stop working. Export the CSV and save the files first. Clearing the dashboard is not a backup.

Example: Contact page has three tests and one real note with a PDF attached. You click Export all, save the CSV, open the PDF URL, and store the PDF with the CSV. Only then do you delete the three tests.

Confirm Webflow stored the submission

Export all can only list what Webflow received. If the form uses a custom action, the submission goes to that other service. Webflow does not store it and does not send Webflow's notification email. If you exported the site and host it somewhere else, Webflow does not process the form there either. Use a third-party form on that host.

A custom domain needs an active Site plan before it can receive submissions. The webflow.io staging host can receive them without a Site plan. The free Starter Site plan stores 50 form submissions in total. That limit does not reset. After 50, new submissions are not collected until you change the Site plan. The count sits under Site settings, General, Overview.

Send to can include Webflow and email notifications together. It cannot include a custom action at the same time as Webflow. If the export should keep growing, Webflow has to stay in Send to. Publish after you change that, submit Export test once more, and download again.

Questions & answers

Why do two forms show up in one export?

New forms keep the name Email Form until you rename them. Submissions from every form with that name share one table. Give each form its own name, publish, and export again.

Are uploaded files inside the CSV?

Only as URLs. Download each file you need. Deleting the submission also deletes the file, and the URL stops working.

Why is the export empty after I test the custom domain?

The form has to send submissions to Webflow, and a custom domain needs an active Site plan. A custom action does not store the submission in Webflow. On the Starter Site plan, new submissions stop after 50 in total.

Can I export a test from the staging host?

Yes. The webflow.io host can receive submissions without a Site plan. Export them from Site settings, Forms, after the test is stored.
