Webflow support

What should I record after a month of Webflow support?

Write down what shipped, what you held, and what is still open, so the next period starts from a record.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Keep a short note in the same written thread at the end of the billing period. Record what was published, what you held, any extra-hour estimate you approved or declined, and what is still open. The plan is $999 per month with 10 hours. Unused hours expire and do not carry over. The note records this period. It does not move leftover time forward.

Keep one note in the same thread

When the billing period is ending, write a short record while the requests are still easy to see. Put it in the same written channel the month already used. Communication is asynchronous and written only, through a shared task board and an agreed written channel. There are no calls or meetings, so a wrap-up call is not the record.

The note is for you and for the next period. It says what happened. It is not a new request unless you clearly mark a line as work you still want.

Example: 'Closing note for this period. Published: the first paragraph on /services. Held: the logo row. Extra hours: none approved. Still open: the logo row, for a later period.'

Four lines are enough. A long recap that retells every comment is harder to use than a list you can scan.

Record what actually shipped

List the pages and CMS items that changed on the live site. Use the URL, not a nickname only you remember. 'Services intro' is weaker than 'the first paragraph on /services.' If a change stayed on the staging subdomain because you have not said publish, write that too. Staging is not the same outcome as the custom domain.

Match the list to what you reviewed. The review guide is how you compare a staging link with the request before you say publish or hold. This note comes after those replies. It collects them.

Example: you approved the services paragraph on Tuesday and held the homepage logo row because the logo file was still a draft. The note should say both. If you only write 'homepage work done,' the next month will not know that the logo never went live.

Include a CMS item by its name in the Collection, such as the post Spring offer, and say whether you published it or left it as a draft.

Record the hour decisions you already made

Write down any estimate for extra time, and write whether you approved it. Additional work needs that written yes before it starts. A missing line is how a later month forgets that you said no, or forgets that you said yes to two extra hours for a form fix.

You do not need a private spreadsheet. The sentence in the thread is the decision. If you asked how many included hours were used, add that reply and the date. The number describes this period only.

Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Do not write 'save the remaining four hours for the launch.' That sentence cannot keep them. If the launch still matters and the period is open, send the launch as a request now. If the period has ended, the next period starts again from its own included hours. The unused hours guide is that rule. Your note should not contradict it.

Separate open work from finished work

End the note with what is still open, and say that it belongs to a later request. Open does not mean approved, and it does not mean the hours moved forward. It means you have not forgotten the item.

Give each open line the same shape you would use for a new request: the page or CMS item, the final copy or file if you have it, and what done looks like. 'Finish the brand' is not an open item. 'Replace the logo in the header with the attached SVG, and check the header on a phone' is.

Leave redesigns off the open list. A new website or a full redesign is a separate project, with its own scope and quote. A logo swap inside the current header can sit on the list. A new layout for every page cannot.

If a teammate will send requests next period, the note is what they should read first. One person should still send the next queue. The note does not create a second channel.

File the note with this plan

I use one plan for every existing Webflow site: $999 per month, including 10 hours of Webflow work. Additional work is $75 per hour. Before work exceeds the included hours, I share a written estimate and ask for your written approval. Additional work starts only after you approve it. Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Memberships cannot be paused.

Your Webflow subscription and hosting stay in your own account. The pages that were paid for stay in that account as well. The note does not transfer the site, and it does not replace a cancellation. Cancel in writing before the next renewal if you want future billing to stop. Service continues through the paid period.

The Webflow retainer is the plan this note belongs to. The retainer guide explains which work fits the month. Use this page when you want a record you can read at the start of the next period.

Questions & answers

Does the note refund unused hours?

No. Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Payments for the period are not a credit you can spend later.

Should I store this in the Webflow Designer?

Store it in the written thread. The Designer holds the site. The thread holds what you asked for, what you approved, and what is still open.

Is a publish reply the same as this end-of-period note?

No. A publish or hold reply decides one change. The end-of-period note lists the period: what went live, what waited, and which estimates you answered.

What if I cancel in the same week?

Cancel in writing before the next renewal to stop future billing. Service continues through the paid period, and remaining included hours stay available until that period ends. The note does not replace the cancellation.
