How do I request work on an unpublished Webflow page?

Name the unpublished Webflow page, say it has no public URL, and keep a new website out of the monthly request.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Name the unpublished page as it appears in the site, and do not paste a different live URL. Say if it should stay unpublished. A new page in the current design can be monthly work. A new website or a full redesign is a separate project. The plan is $999 per month with 10 hours. Extra hours are $75 and start only after you approve a written estimate.

Point at the page by its name

A live URL is the usual way to point at a page. An unpublished page does not have one a visitor can open. The request still needs a name that matches the page in the site, so the work does not land on the homepage or on a page that is already public.

Write the name you see for that page, and write that it is not published. If the page sits in a folder, include the folder name. If you only have a working title, say that the title may still change, and give the name that is in the site today.

Example: 'Unpublished page: Spring offer, in the Campaigns folder. It has no public URL. Do not use / or /pricing as the target.'

The brief guide is how to name an outcome on a page that already has a URL. This page is the case where that URL does not exist yet.

Say what done looks like before anyone publishes

The page can be built and still stay off the live domain. Say that in the same note. Describe the sections, paste the final copy, and attach the images. Say what a phone should show.

A note that says 'make the new page' is not enough, because nobody can tell which layout to follow. A new page within the existing design should follow the current type, the current buttons, and the current header. Name a live page to copy the structure from, such as /services, and say the new page is not that URL.

If you want the page to stay unpublished until you review it, write 'do not publish'. The decision to publish is a later written reply, after you have looked at the work. The review guide is that reply. The draft guide is how a static page is saved as a draft. This page is only how you ask for the work.

Keep a new site out of the month

Monthly work includes a new page on the existing site when that page uses the current design. It does not include a new website or a full redesign. Those are separate projects, with their own scope and quote.

If the unpublished page is really a replacement of the layout, the type, and the structure, say so. That is a project, not a line in this month's queue. If it is one offer page that reuses the current sections, it can be a request.

The plan is $999 per month and includes 10 hours of Webflow work. Ten hours is capacity for this billing period, not a promise that a whole campaign site will ship. If the page would pass the included hours, additional work is $75 per hour and starts only after you approve a written estimate.

The hours do not wait with the page

Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Leaving a page unpublished does not store the hours until the day you publish. If you want the page built this period, send the request while the period is open. If you want it in a later period, leave it out of this period's queue.

Memberships cannot be paused to hold an unpublished page until a launch date. You can cancel before the next renewal to stop future billing. Service continues through the paid period, and remaining included hours stay available until that period ends. You can ask to rejoin later, subject to availability.

Your Webflow subscription and hosting stay in your own account. An unpublished page in that site stays in that account too. The monthly plan does not move the site, and it does not publish a page you asked to hold.

This is the plan that page belongs to

I use one plan for every existing Webflow site: $999 per month, including 10 hours of Webflow work. Additional work is $75 per hour. Before work exceeds the included hours, I share a written estimate and ask for your written approval. Additional work starts only after you approve it. Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over.

Communication is asynchronous and written only. There are no calls or meetings. Urgent requests are reviewed and picked up within 24 hours. Other requests are reviewed and picked up within 48 hours. Those are pickup times, not a finish date, and not a publish date.

The Webflow retainer is the plan this request is for. The retainer guide explains which pages fit the month. Use this page when the page you want changed is not on the public site yet.

Questions & answers

Can I paste the homepage URL and say to ignore the homepage?

No. A live URL points at a live page. Name the unpublished page, and write that it has no public URL, so the work is not done on the homepage.

Does 'do not publish' cancel the request?

No. It means the work stays off the live domain until you reply in writing that it is ready to publish. The request itself still uses the included hours.

Is a brand new marketing site one unpublished page?

No. A new website or a full redesign is a separate project, with its own scope and quote. A single page that follows the current design can be monthly work.

Do the hours stay available until I publish next month?

No. Unused hours expire at the end of each monthly billing period and do not carry over. Leaving the page unpublished does not hold them for a later launch.
